Wildlife in Bandhavgarh

Bandhavgarh has more than 22 species of mammels. Carnivores include the Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Ratel, Gray Mongoose, Asiatic Jackal, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Chausingha, Nilgai, Leopard and Tiger. Wild Pigs, Chinkara and Gaur. Mammals such as Palm Squirrel, Dhole, the smallIndian Civet, and Lesser Bandicoot Rat are seen occasionally. White Tigers are the pride of Bandhavgarh.
Birds in Bandhavgarh
There are 140 varieties of birds in Bandhavgarh National Park. Some of the major bird species found at Bandhavgarh National Park are white browed fantails, steppe eagles, blossom headed parakeets, green pigeons, grey malabar hornbills, black and white malabar hornbills (quite a rare sighting), parakeets, blue bearded bee eaters, minivets, woodshrikes, green bee eaters, white bellied drongos, owls, Jerdon's and gold fronted leaf birds and the lovely paradise flycatchers.

Like other National Parks, Safari timing also changes as per season. In Winter, due to shorter daylight hours, the morning entry time is delayed and evening time is earlier. While, during Summer, it gets changed.
