Wildlife in Pench
Pench is famous for tiger, followed by wild dog, leopard and wold. Other animals are cheetal, sambar, Gaur(Indian Bison), wild pig, sloth bear, Chinkara, Hyena, Porcupine, Palm Civet, Jackal, Barking Deer, Chousingha.
Birds in Pench
There are 285 Species of birds in Pench National Park, including migratory as well as resident species. The bird species found here are Malabar Pied Hornbill, Osprey, Indian Pitta, White-eyed Buzzard, Grey-headed Fishing Eagle. During winter, thousands of birds arrive including Brahmini Duck, Coots, Geese, Barheaded, Pochards, etc.
Pench is one of the best place for bird lovers. Here, 4 species of endangered vultures longbilled, white-rumped, white scavenger and king vulture is available.
In Pench, there are 50 species of fishes, 10 amphibians, 30 reptiles, 45 butterflies, 54 moths and numerous other insects are available.
